Singer-Songwriter and Chicago native Kayla DeSouza...

knew she wanted to pursue music from a very young age. At age nine Kayla began taking guitar lessons and immediately started to write her own songs. While studying Jazz performance at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Kayla formed her own band "Kayla and the Moon Lace Band" in 2015. The band released their first EP "Eclipse" in February of 2016. In December 2016 she released her first solo EP "Walk Steady". In November 2018 she released her second EP “You and Me”.

Kayla has recently started to combine her favorite genres, (Jazz, Pop and R&B) in the songs she writes. 

She continues to gig solo and with her new band Neo.Stalgia across Chicago.
